Theme for the Retreat: Times of Refreshing in the Presence of the Lord

A Message from Pam Caldwell:

Our theme for 2025 has been from Galatians 6:2 ...bear one another’s burdens. Southgate is a church that loves well. Our summer has been one of investing in our kids and youth during TOV and KOV. Missions and prayer are central to who we are as part of the Body of Christ. Our church is committed to helping people make vibrant connections through ZAP, SG Connect, and New Here lunches as well as the other activities I’ve left out.

As we are approaching the Fall Retreat, I asked the Lord about the theme for the retreat. I heard, “Times of refreshing in the presence of the Lord.” I thought of the verse from Proverbs 11:25 NLT, The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.

I believe this fall retreat will be about refilling our tanks after a season of pouring out. Come expecting. We will be refreshed spirit, and soul, and body. As always, Friday will start us off with lingering worship. Worship will always remain in the forefront; it’s who we are and what we do. After that, we will share about Godly Burden Bearing and have breakout sessions for ministry to one another. We very well may get silly at some point and just have fun. I hope so!

We look forward to spending time with you.
